In the beginning….There was Jack is the first in a planned four-part literary series tracing Billy’s life from childhood into old age. Each book moves between two timelines, his younger and older self, allowing past and present to speak to each other in ways that deepen the emotional arc across the series.

 

The Books

 

• Book One (ages 10–16 and 37)
  Introduces the central themes of abandonment, addiction, found family, and the possibility of healing.

• Book Two (ages 16–28 and mid-40s to 50)
  Follows Billy into rave culture, touring, and early fatherhood, set against the stillness of lockdown.

• Book Three
  Co-written with Billy’s son Jack, this book projects forward into speculative futures, carrying the story across the next fifty years.

• Book Four
  Also co-written with Jack, it continues that forward gaze, exploring what it means to build and pass on a legacy, both personal and planetary.

This layered, dual-timeline approach has strong commercial precedent. The Seven Sisters series, which sold millions worldwide, also used parallel structures across a multi-book arc. Together, these four volumes form a single life story — raw, cinematic, and expansive — now unfolding on the page and in development for television.
